DPF cleaning & regeneration
DPF warning light, reduced power or repeated regeneration problems? SP88 starts with diagnosis, then recommends cleaning, regeneration or repair based on the condition of your vehicle.
Mobile diagnostic visits across Wallington, Sutton, Croydon, Purley and nearby South London and Surrey.
Find out why the filter is struggling
A DPF warning does not automatically mean the filter needs replacing. We investigate fault codes, available pressure and temperature readings, and related engine or sensor faults to establish the next step.
- DPF or engine warning light.
- Reduced power or limp mode.
- Regeneration that fails or keeps returning.
- A suspected blocked filter or pressure-sensor fault.
DPF regeneration
Regeneration burns accumulated soot. Where the vehicle supports a service regeneration and the diagnostic findings allow it, we can assess and carry out the appropriate procedure in a suitable location.
It is not suitable for every blocked filter. Excessive loading, active faults or an unsafe location may mean repairs or another cleaning route are needed first.
DPF cleaning
Cleaning may be needed when regeneration is unsuitable or insufficient. Regeneration does not remove accumulated ash. We assess the filter condition and explain the suitable cleaning route, access requirements and cost before you commit.
Some jobs require filter removal or workshop facilities. We confirm what can be completed on site and what needs to be arranged separately. A damaged filter may require replacement.
Will the warning come back?
Cleaning or regenerating the filter without addressing the underlying fault can leave the problem unresolved. We discuss the diagnostic findings and any further repairs required, then check relevant readings after the agreed work.
Which service should I book?
Choose the diagnostic inspection. You do not need to decide between cleaning and regeneration beforehand. If a sensor is the cause, see DPF pressure-sensor diagnosis and replacement. For AdBlue warnings, see AdBlue fault finding and reset.
One booking. A clear next step.
Start with a diagnostic inspection: £100 for the visit and up to one hour, with a £20 booking deposit towards that total. Tell us your registration, postcode and the warning message when booking.
Additional diagnostic time, parts, cleaning, regeneration or repairs are quoted separately and agreed before we proceed. We confirm vehicle compatibility and whether the work is suitable at your location.
