DPF Pressure Sensor Replacement in South London

A DPF pressure-sensor fault can affect regeneration strategy and trigger warning lights, but a stored code does not prove the sensor—or the filter—is the only problem. SP88 diagnoses the circuit, hoses and filter evidence before replacement.

Reasons to test the DPF pressure-sensor system

The sensor measures pressure difference across the diesel particulate filter. Faults can come from the sensor, wiring, pressure pipes or the filter system itself.

DPF or engine warning light

Relevant fault codes are a starting point; freeze-frame data and live readings help establish what is happening.

Implausible pressure reading

A value that does not respond sensibly to engine speed can point to a sensor, hose or circuit issue.

Regeneration problems

Failed or repeated regeneration can have several upstream causes that should be checked before parts are fitted.

Damaged or blocked pressure pipes

Split, restricted or disconnected pipes can produce misleading readings even when the sensor is functional.

How the appointment works

  1. Describe the symptoms. Share the registration, engine details, warning lights and when the fault appears.
  2. We confirm the repair path. We check access, parts and whether the work is suitable at your location or needs workshop facilities.
  3. Book a weekday start. Scheduled services start at 10:00, 12:00 or 14:00 Monday to Friday. Weekends are closed.
  4. Repair and checks. The confirmed sensor or pressure-pipe fault is repaired, vehicle-specific resets or adaptations are completed where required, and readings are rechecked.
Diagnosis matters: a DPF pressure-sensor code does not by itself prove the particulate filter is blocked. We separate sensor, hose, wiring and filter evidence before recommending replacement.

What is included—and what may change the job

Testing can include stored faults, live pressure data, electrical checks and inspection of accessible pressure hoses. Replacement uses a vehicle-matched sensor when evidence supports it.

SP88 does not offer DPF deletion or emissions-system removal. If the filter, engine or exhaust needs specialist workshop work, we explain the next step.

Parts are matched to the vehicle after registration or VIN checks. We do not claim universal compatibility, and we confirm access and repair location before booking.

South London and Surrey coverage

SP88 serves customers across Sutton, Wallington, Croydon, Purley and surrounding parts of South London and Surrey. Send your postcode and vehicle details so we can confirm coverage and the right repair setting.
