COOLING-SYSTEM HELP AT YOUR LOCATION

Mobile Car Radiator Repair & Replacement in South London

Overheating, coolant loss and warning lights can have several causes. SP88 checks the cooling system first, then confirms whether the radiator, fan, hose, thermostat or another component needs attention. Mobile visits are available in Wallington, Sutton, Croydon, Purley and nearby parts of South London and Surrey, subject to safe access.

A radiator symptom is not always a radiator fault

A leak, rising temperature or repeated low coolant can come from the radiator, but it may also involve a hose or connection, cooling fan, thermostat, water pump or another engine fault. Replacing parts before confirming the cause can waste money and leave the vehicle overheating.

Tell us your registration, postcode and what you have noticed. We will confirm whether a mobile inspection is suitable and explain the next step before work begins.

Signs worth checking

  • Temperature warning or gauge rising
  • Coolant underneath the vehicle
  • Coolant level repeatedly dropping
  • Overheating in traffic or at idle
  • Fan not operating when expected
  • Visible corrosion or damage around the radiator

What the visit can cover

  • Visual checks for coolant leaks and damage
  • Radiator, hose and connection condition
  • Cooling-fan operation
  • Signs that point to thermostat or water-pump faults
  • Radiator replacement where the fault and correct part are confirmed
  • Coolant refill and system checks appropriate to the agreed work

Clear quote before work starts

Radiator work does not have one honest fixed price. The quote depends on the correct part, access on your vehicle, coolant specification, testing and the work required. SP88 confirms the agreed scope and price before starting; extra work is not added without approval.

Planned appointment starts are offered on weekdays at 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00. Weekend appointments are closed. Call if the vehicle is overheating now so we can advise whether a mobile visit is suitable.

Radiator service questions

Can I drive if the engine is overheating?

Stop somewhere safe, switch the engine off and let it cool. Continuing to drive can cause serious engine damage. Do not open a hot cooling system. If you are unsure, arrange recovery or professional advice.

Does coolant loss always mean the radiator needs replacing?

No. Coolant can escape from hoses, joints, the expansion tank, water pump and other parts. Testing the source first helps avoid an unnecessary radiator replacement.

Can every radiator job be completed mobile?

Many can, but suitability depends on the fault, vehicle design, location and safe working access. Some cases need workshop equipment or recovery. We will tell you if a mobile visit is not appropriate.
