BlackVue’s Intelligent Parking Mode is ideal if you’re concerned about hit-and-runs, theft, or vandalism while your vehicle is parked and unattended. The DR900X seamlessly transitions to Parking Mode when you turn off your ignition, continuing to monitor your vehicle by recording and storing events for later review. It can also notify you in real-time via the BlackVue app when equipped with the optional CM100LTE connectivity module. Video buffering ensures that your camera captures the seconds leading up to the event, providing a comprehensive picture. The DR900X features built-in power management to prevent your camera from depleting your vehicle’s battery overnight, automatically turning off if the car’s battery level falls below a pre-set threshold. For extended recording times, consider adding a Power Magic Ultra Battery B-124X.

The DR900X-2CH supports two Parking Mode options: Motion and Impact Detection, and Time Lapse. Motion and Impact Detection mode uses your camera’s image sensor to detect movement and the built-in accelerometer/G-sensor to detect bumps or impacts. To minimize unwanted recordings triggered by motion and movement, the DR900X allows you to specify areas to ignore, eliminating recordings caused by factors like swaying trees or distant moving objects. In Time Lapse mode, to reduce video file sizes and conserve SD card space, the camera records continuously at 1FPS (one frame per second), as opposed to the standard 30/60 FPS. However, all event clips are recorded at full resolution and 30FPS. With the highest video quality setting (Extreme), a standard 32GB microSD card can store over 48 hours of time-lapse video.
